Do you enjoy writing good SQL code? Do you like figuring out what data can tell you about a business? Ohio University seeks a solutions-oriented BI Developer to join its central IT organization.

Ohio University‘s strategic initiatives require efficient and effective uses of data. You can have a key role in fulfilling these initiatives by applying your data warehousing, SQL, and data modeling skills to University data. You will enhance existing and develop new data models to enable operational and analytical reporting solutions. You will work on a variety of tight-deadline, quick turnaround tasks as well as longer term projects to elevate existing solutions to enable new capabilities.

 This position is being posted in conjunction with BI Developer IV (https://www.ohiouniversityjobs.com/postings/39972). Only one position will be filled. The university is posting both positions to ensure a sufficient applicant pool to fill this need. The hiring department will first consider applicants from the higher-level position. If the applicant pool does not yield a successful candidate, the applicant pool from the lower-level position will then be evaluated. If the lower level posting yields the successful candidate, the hiring department intends to develop the candidate in preparation for the higher level position.  Applicants are encouraged to apply for either or both positions based upon their qualifications and interests.
