Overview
The Princeton Undergraduate Financial Aid Office seeks a motivated individual for the position of Assistant Director. This position is a complex administrative job with mid-level program responsibilities. The demand of constant aid activity throughout the year requires independent decision-making and the ability to exercise professional judgment when required. The Assistant Director will also be required to participate in outreach and tailor presentations to a variety of audiences. Flexibility and adaptability are necessary to keep up with the fast-paced changes in financial aid as well as the needs of the office.
Responsibilities

Oversees all aspects of withdrawal
processing, readmits, and other non-standard enrollment, ensuring
compliance with University and federal aid rules, and updating
policies and procedures for staff training
Reviews financial aid applications,
counsels enrolled students and their parents, performs need
analysis, packages financial aid offers and makes decisions on
award appeals
Responsible for assisting the Associate
Director in external communications, including creating and posting
web content, as well as updating publications annually
Assists with file processing for both
renewal and prospective students, and serves as a liaison to the
Office of the Registrar
Reaches out to prospective students,
their families, community-based organizations and others to
increase economic diversity of applicant pool and enrolling
classes. Includes travel, presentations, social media and other
forms of outreach

Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- A minimum of 4 years of financial aid or student services experience, including managing communications and working across University offices Excellent analytical, writing, speaking, and collaborative relationship-building skills
