Temple University invites applicants for a Development Coordinator, THIA.
Description
Temple Health Institutional Advancement (THIA) is searching for
a detail-oriented, and motivated candidate to join our
goal-oriented team as the Development Coordinator. Reporting to the
Sr Director, Corporate and Foundation Relations, the Development
Coordinator provides administrative support to the major gifts,
corporate and foundation relations (CFR), THIA leadership on an as
needed basis, special events and stewardship program areas. They
are responsible for supporting elements of the Temple Health
Institutional Advancement (THIA) strategic plan to meet revenue
goals and enhance and execute superior signature annual events.
They will work collaboratively with members of the THIA team
to assist in coordination of meetings and special events, with an
emphasis on delivering exemplary customer service for all
constituents.
The ideal candidate will possess administrative skills and have
experience working in an advancement setting. They will have the
ability to support the execution of multiple projects
simultaneously and balance multiple priorities. They will
have experience with special events and have an interest in major
gift and CFR fundraising. Performs other duties as assigned.
THIA is a high-energy environment and a high performing team with
robust fundraising and special event activity supporting the Lewis
Katz School of Medicine and Temple Health.
Essential Functions of Position:
• In conjunction with CFR, major gifts and
prospect research team, assist with data entry including tracking
moves management, conduct proposal maintenance in customer
relationship management program (CRM), capture biographical
information, contact reports, etc.
• Support relationship development and
maintenance with donors and prospects
• Support logistical details and serve as Temple
Health representative at departmental events
• Assist in pre and post event communications and
logistics
• Coordinate in ongoing execution of VIP
acknowledgement letters
• Assists in planning of execution of special
events and meeting planning, including logistical support,
invitations, phone calls, contract execution, technical A/V set-up,
rsvp management, and more.
• Produce merged mailings in Microsoft Word,
review and edit collateral, letters, sponsorship packages,
invitations, ad books, etc.
• General administrative duties including
processing and reconciling vendor contracts and purchase orders;
generating departmental reports including gift officer and donor
activity, fundraising progress, mailing and invitation lists;
filing and shredding documents containing sensitive information
such as gift agreements, prospect lists, etc.
• Provide general assistance including routing
donor and prospect calls, providing routine information to
callers
• Order and distribute supplies to major gifts
and corporate and foundation relations (CFR) teams, including
office supplies, collateral, giveaway items etc.
• Provide assistance in compiling and
distributing donor stewardship reports and required grant
reporting
• Assist in calendar management by arranging
donor meetings and internal appointments for team
• Other duties as assigned
• Willing to work night and/or weekends
• This is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days of
on-campus work week
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s
degree and 2-3 years of experience working in an administrative
setting. An equivalent combination of education and experience may
be considered.
Required Skills & Abilities:
• Experience working in Microsoft Office, CRM
program and/or business analytics software
Preferred:
o Experience
in healthcare or higher education setting
o Experience working in an advancement setting,
particularly with frontline and CFR staff
o Business acumen and an interest in fundraising
and/or special events
This position requires a background check.
This position requires Child Abuse Certifications prior to the
commencement of service.
This is a grant funded position.
This position is temporarily assigned a hybrid work arrangement
(on-campus 2-3 days per week and remote), the duration of this
hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University
and the Department.
