Digital Marketing Strategist



Position Summary:

As part of University Marketing and Communications, the Digital Marketing Strategist will support the Director of Digital Marketing in enhancing the brand and national reputation of the University. The position works collaboratively with others in the division to execute, measure and optimize the institution's marketing plan.

In partnership with colleagues on the University Marketing team and across campus, the Digital Marketing Strategist will ensure key messages from digital marketing efforts reach, engage and persuade target audiences. This position will manage digital marketing content in support of University initiatives, assess emerging opportunities, identify benchmarks for determining effectiveness, analyze results, and recommend and implement new strategies to achieve goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree.
Demonstrated experience in digital marketing (e.g., advertising, web, email, etc.).
Demonstrated time management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Effective written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Two years experience implementing, monitoring and optimizing digital marketing campaigns (e.g., social ads, display ads, Google AdWords, IP targeting, audio ads, connected TV, etc).
Experience benchmarking, measuring and analyzing results of marketing campaigns.
Knowledge of Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Search Console, including aptitude to learn how to use other analytics and marketing tools.
Experience with search engine optimization (SEO).
Experience with web content management systems.
Demonstrated ability to generate innovative solutions to marketing and communication challenges.
Effective interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.

Special Instructions to Applicants:

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide. With this development, the University will pause any enforcement action against employees who have not complied with the requirement to be fully vaccinated by Dec. 8, 2021 or to have requested an exemption to maintain their employment status.

The University will continue to monitor the state of the pandemic on campus and in the community as well as developments in federal and state requirements, and also will continue to regularly consult with public health officials and our medical panel. As has been the case throughout the pandemic, our protocols and requirements are subject to change depending on conditions on campus or in our community, and government requirements.
