The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine (OSU-CVM) is engaged in an outcome-based curricular redesign that includes the development of cumulative stage exams and data-driven decision-making processes at the programmatic and individual course levels. The new program will require analyzed and visualized data for quality assurance of our product (graduate) and processes (educational quality) in an effort toward continuous, sustainable educational improvement. The OSU-CVM is looking for an experienced professional to work in-house as an Educational Outcomes and Assessment Coordinator to develop and maintain an outcomes measurement and assessment program that supports our curricular redesign and accreditation efforts. The Educational Outcomes and Assessment Coordinator will report to the Director of Teaching and Learning and will be supported by an Instructional Associate. The role of the Coordinator is to bring expertise, experience, and innovation with educational measurement and evaluation to the College in order to support evidence-based educational decision-making. This individual will also share their knowledge via faculty development and consultation.

Responsibilities will include: analyzing performance results, designing data visualization displays and dashboards, and gathering evidence of student learning to report to faculty teams and educational leaders in the college; assisting faculty teams and educational leaders in using educational data to think innovatively about teaching and learning, and disseminating results and contributing to scholarly publication.

Knowledge of educational statistics and assessment is required with advanced training in quantitative, qualitative, and psychometric methods; specific experience in a health professions environment is preferred. Ability to use statistical analysis software, learning management tools, and a number of other common higher education programs is essential.

Desired Qualifications: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Education (EdD) preferred.

The targeted hiring range for this position is $70,000 - $75,000 annually.

Additional Information:
Master's Degree (with an emphasis on quantitative and psychometric methods, or equivalent), or DVM degree (with equivalent experience in education research, assessment, program evaluation, and/or quality improvement). Specific experience with quantitative methods, data analysis, instructional/educational technology use, development & assessment. Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to implement an assessment plan for a large program or department. At least 3 years of experience in educational measurement, psychometrics, and/or research.
