Job Summary:

This position reports to the Director of Clery Compliance in the UW-Madison Police Department and is responsible for assisting leadership with the coordination of all Clery Act compliance efforts on the UW-Madison campus. This position works collaboratively with University Administration, Title IX Coordinator, Employee Assistance Program, UW Housing, Dean of Students Office, Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards, University Health Services, UW Police, UW Office of Legal Affairs, UW Athletics, Office of Human Resources, International Academic Programs, University Hospital and Clinics staff as well as other facets of the University.

In addition to weekday work, persons in this position will be required to work some weekends and/or after hours in managing some required Clery notifications. Persons in this position must be familiar with Clery reportable crime definitions and basic police procedures used in investigating these crimes

Education:

Preferred
Bachelor's Degree
Master's degree
Law or professional degree

Qualifications:

Minimum of two years required of professional experience with compliance-related, program management related, and/or audit related work. Preference may be given to candidates with Major and/or course work in Communications, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Law, Student Affairs or Higher Education Administration experience.

Experience working with a higher education institution and working with Higher Education Act, Clery Act, Title IX and/or Violence Against Women Act is preferred.

Experience effectively interpreting and complying with federal and state mandates and laws required.

Experience classifying, compiling, maintaining and organizing large amounts of statistics and data preferred.

Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills required.

Experience in working collaboratively and effectively with a variety of constituents is required.

Candidate must have proven track record of creating consensus in decision making and collaboration within a team environment.

Experience required with assisting in developing and presenting training programs.

Candidate must have exceptional organizational skills and strong computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with databases.

This position requires a valid driver's license as a condition of employment.
