Job Summary:

The position will have responsibilities for both inpatient and outpatient clinical care at UW Health approved locations in general infectious disease (ID), orthopedic ID, transplant ID, travel and tropical medicine, infection control, and/or antimicrobial stewardship. The position will participate in teaching (clinical and classroom) of ID fellows, residents, and medical students. University and community service will be expected as appropriate. If hired as Clinical Health Services (CHS) faculty, this position will also be expected to engage in active collaborative research. This position may also have an appointment at the Madison Veterans Administration Hospital, if appropriate.

Qualifications:

Completed accredited training program.

License/Certification:

Preferred
MD - Physician - State Licensure
Board eligible in Internal Medicine and BE/BC in infectious disease.

For appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on CHS Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CHS Track.

This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.
