The Department of Family Nutrition and Exercise Sciences at Queens College-CUNY announces a tenure-track position for an Assistant Professor in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, motor learning or related area, starting Fall 2022.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate students majoring in exercise sciences and physical Education. Courses would include exercise physiology, laboratory measurement in exercise physiology and field-based assessments of fitness, kinesiology, biomechanics, motor learning and human performance, and training. Conduct research in exercise physiology, physical activity and health, kinesiology, motor learning or related area and establish a record of research and scholarship as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications, funded research and/or successful grant applications.

Qualification for the position are as follows: Doctorate in exercise physiology, kinesiology, motor learning or related area required with a background in the study of human exercise responses and performance from a metabolic, cardiovascular, environmental, muscular, movement control and/or nutritional perspective preferred. Candidates, completing a doctoral degree by the time of appointment will receive consideration. Continuous record of scholarship as evidenced by peer-reviewed publication and/or funded research. Experience in college teaching and post-doctoral research is also preferred.
