Position Description:

This position is for an hourly-paid research assistant in the Interdisciplinary Data EngineeringAnd Science (IDEAS) Laboratory directed by Dr. Kevin S. Xu. The work can be done remotely

Qualifications:

Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Proficient in programming and scientific computing in Python, including numPy and pandas.
Proficient in data mining and machine learning algorithms.
Education/Experience/Licensing:
BS in Computer Science or related field is preferred.
Communication and Other skills:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
• Excellent organizational skills are required
• Exceptional computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office are required.
• Excellent problem solving are required.
• Must have the ability to, as well as meet the requirements to complete and maintain
mandatory training per the University



Working Conditions:

This position will work in an office setting with lighting and ventilation. Position will require sitting and computer use for long periods of time, also intermittent standing, walking, stooping, bending, and lifting. Works in a professional office environment with possible high stress levels.
