Position Description

The Laboratory of Inflammation and Disease Interactions established at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences and Co-Directed by Steven T. Haller, Ph.D. and David J. Kennedy, Ph.D. is recruiting postdoctoral fellows to conduct research in interdisciplinary areas of Molecular Medicine broadly related to the impact of Environmental Toxins on Human Health. Successful candidates will be mentored by senior Faculty members within the Department of Medicine for up to 2 years and may have competitive opportunities to transition into research or tenure-eligible faculty tracks within the various Departments of the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences.

Qualifications

Education/experience/licensing:
Ph.D. required in areas related to physiology and/or cell biology relevant to environmental toxicology and whole-animal or human physiological systems.
4-5 years of laboratory experience required (includes graduate training).

Communication and other skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with other laboratory workers.
Must be motivated and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
