Position Description:

The University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences invites applications for the position of Assistant/ Associate Professor in Neurological Surgery. This full- time faculty member would practice General Neurosurgery at UTMC, share in the call schedule, and serve on academic committees.

The neurosurgeon reports directly to the Chief, Division of Neurosurgery and the Chairman of the Department of Surgery and represents the College of Medicine and Life Sciences to internal and external constituents to promote, facilitate, and disseminate clinical, education and research activities.

The Department is devoted to medical education, clinical service and research. The successful candidate must possess leadership skills, strong interpersonal skills, and exceptional clinical ability.

Qualifications:

Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in neurosurgery. Ideal candidates would possess strong clinical interest and the possibility of sub-specialty skills such as epilepsy surgery, pediatric neurosurgery, and/or neurosurgical trauma care as well as skills and experience with clinical and translational research.

This position works in a professional clinical and academic office setting.
