Position Description

The University of Toledo Speech-Language Pathology program is seeking an enthusiastic instructor, who is interested in contributing to graduate and undergraduate education in a Lecturer position.

The program is accredited by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association; therefore, the candidate will be responsible for students' development of knowledge and clinical skills necessary to become licensed speech-language pathologists.

The interested candidate will teach academic and clinical courses and help bridge the gap between classroom and clinical instruction. A part of the duties will include placing and monitoring students at internship sites.

An individual with experience in Child Language Development and Disorders and strong clinical experience is preferred.

This is a 9-month position, with possibility of teaching or leading clinical training in the summer term. Speech-Language Pathology at UToledo is a growing program, and the UToledo Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic serves a diverse clinical population that offers experiential and clinical training to both undergraduate and graduate students.

The program and clinic are housed in a state-of-the-art facility in the Department of Intervention and Wellness.

Qualifications:

The required qualifications include ASHA certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) and an Ohio license or eligibility for Ohio licensure in Speech-Language Pathology, as well as experience in classroom teaching and student supervision in a clinical setting.
