Position Description:

The Assistant Dean for Clinical Clerkship Education will help provide day-to-day operational oversight in the development and implementation of medical school curriculum for all clinical rotations including required and elective experiences. He/she will work collaboratively with the Associate Dean for Clinical Undergraduate Medical Education in the oversight and continuous quality improvement of these clinical experiences and the development of new and innovative programs, courses or clerkships. The clinical clerkship experience is beginning a new phase of curriculum reform in preparing medical students for graduation and transition into residency training programs. As part of that initiative, the Assistant Dean will be instrumental in the continued development of new transitional course and other clerkship activities to support the educational mission of the UTCOM.

Qualifications:

The faculty member must have an MD or DO degree, with at least 3-5 years of experience as a teaching faculty in a medical school with additional leadership experience such as clerkship director and/or residency program director.
