Assists with the development, review and monitoring of grants and contracts for a College.,,
- Reviews proposals for research funds for compliance with agency guidelines; audits budgets for accuracy.
- Advises and audits preliminary budgets for faculty who are preparing grant applications; may contact appropriate agency for clarification and direction.
- Develops and administers a tracking database for proposals, awards and expenditures; prepares external funding reports for the college.
- Oversees college external funding accounts in cooperation with the college business administrator.
- Coordinates the facilitation of research orientation and training for faculty.
- Serves as a liaison between the college and the Office of Contracts and Grants.
- Reads and researches newsletters, journals and other federal publications to stay up-to-date on research opportunities and changes in policy and/or procedure.
- Attends Office of Contracts and Grants briefings and training as necessary.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications :
Bachelors and 1 year experience
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience.
