Assists with the development, review and monitoring of grants and contracts for a College.,,

  1. Reviews proposals for research funds for compliance with agency guidelines; audits budgets for accuracy.
  2. Advises and audits preliminary budgets for faculty who are preparing grant applications; may contact appropriate agency for clarification and direction.
  3. Develops and administers a tracking database for proposals, awards and expenditures; prepares external funding reports for the college.
  4. Oversees college external funding accounts in cooperation with the college business administrator.
  5. Coordinates the facilitation of research orientation and training for faculty.
  6. Serves as a liaison between the college and the Office of Contracts and Grants.
  7. Reads and researches newsletters, journals and other federal publications to stay up-to-date on research opportunities and changes in policy and/or procedure.
  8. Attends Office of Contracts and Grants briefings and training as necessary.
  9. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Bachelors and 1 year experience

Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience.
