Job Description

The Coordinator for First-Year Experiences (FYE) is a 12-month administrative faculty position within the Undergraduate Education unit of Undergraduate Academic Affairs. The Coordinator supports the administrative and operational needs of the First-Year Experiences program, including but not limited to facilitating advisory board activities, managing annual grants and budget, scheduling and planning FYE community events, managing communication with the program community, supporting academic-based peer mentoring initiatives, conducting annual reporting and data-informed program improvement, contributing scholarship in areas related to First-Year Experiences, and collaborating with faculty leads and instructors as well as student support, cocurricular, professional development, and program partner units. The position requires an individual who is well organized, collaborative, and service-minded with strong communication skills. The successful candidate will have experience in effective teaching and learning (preferably in a higher education setting), student development and success, and/or higher education administrative experience. The Coordinator will work closely as part of a collaborative team within Undergraduate Education and across Undergraduate Academic Affairs with access to mentorship, career growth, and professional development opportunities.

Required Qualifications

- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Record of effective teaching experience
- Experience in project management
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with student development and excellence in academic activities related to
undergraduate students
- Experience in managing budgets and/or grant programs
- Record of effective teaching experience at secondary and/or undergraduate level
- Record of scholarship in the area of first-year students or a related field
- Expertise in academic peer mentoring programs for students
- Experience with program evaluation and data-informed improvement

Salary Information

$48,000-$52,000, commensurate with experience. Compensation package may include relocation stipend if eligible.
