This administrative and teaching position focuses on

1) marketing Chicago-Kent’s LL.M programs to foreign students, including a number of overseas pipeline programs with foreign universities, bar associations, and other entities. The Associate Dean will be encouraged to add additional partners and market the programs in innovative ways, and is supported by staff. 2) assessing applicants and using scholarship policies to enhance yield, and thereafter serving as a focal point for the LL.M students, counseling them as to appropriate classes, advising them logistically with their immigration forms when needed, and facilitating their acclimation to Chicago when relevant. In addition, the Office administers the study abroad opportunities for JD students and the JD Certificate Program in International and Comparative Law;

3) The Associate Dean also is expected to teach in the international law arena and/or courses in domestic law subjects that are tailored for foreign-trained lawyers and law students. 

The Associate Dean position is not tenure-track but voting and participation rights are extended. Teaching experience is preferred. The salary is competitive.
