The Florida A&M - Florida State University (FAMU-FSU) College of Engineering and the Panama City Campus of FSU invite applications for a teaching faculty position in Computer Engineering at FSU Panama City as part of our ABET-accredited, Electrical and Computing Engineering program.

 

The FAMU-FSU College of Engineering was established as a joint program serving two universities, Florida A & M University and Florida State University, located in Tallahassee, Florida.

 

The College is a leading academic institution with excellent records of achievement in education, research, and public service. It offers Bachelor of Science (B.S.) programs in chemical, civil, computer, electrical, industrial, and mechanical engineering as well as M.S. and Ph.D. programs. Responsibilities

 

The position is a 9- or 12-month, full-time, specialized, non-tenure track teaching faculty position with opportunities for promotion and multi-year contracts. The primary responsibility of this position is teaching undergraduate courses in Computer Engineering, with the potential to teach graduate and distance-based courses and participate in research as needed for the support of the program. Additional responsibilities include recruiting, mentoring, and advising students; serving on committees; and other service to the program/campus. This position is expected to begin in August 2022. Qualifications

 

  • Candidates must hold a D. in Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Candidates with expertise in Cyber and Network Security are strongly encouraged to ABD’s will be considered.
  • Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and developing core Computer Engineering
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to students’ success and the ECE
