This is a full-time benefits-eligible position. Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Night Maintenance, this position maintains, repairs, and conducts preventive maintenance for the Night Maintenance Shop. Provides additional assistance in the completion of routine and emergency work orders that require the use of other trade skills for the Night Maintenance Shop. Education & Formal Training High school diploma or equivalent, Formal training (specify), Education/Experience substitution (specify) Other Education & Formal Training
-Formal Electrical or HVAC training and/or related military experience may be substituted for the required experience.
-Education may be substituted for experience or if experience may be substituted for education. Note that equivalencies are based on the following: AA or 60 credit hours = 2 years experience; BA/BS or 120 credit hours = 4 years experience; MA/MS = 6 years experience; PhD = 8 years experience. Computer Skills Experience
1. Six (6) months experience in electrical service, operations, and/or preventive maintenance in an industrial or commercial setting required.
2. Additional experience and skills in the maintenance of various trades; plumbing, carpentry, or HVAC preferred. Other Experience Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of Position: Criminal History check, Driver's license Other Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge: Attention to detail, Communication skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal, Human Relations/Interpersonal skills, Physical abilities: mobility/strength/dexterity/balance/coordination/endurance, Maintain confidentiality Other Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
Working knowledge of electrical systems and devices.

Mechanical abilities, general building repairs and construction methods Specify sensory abilities: Physical & Environmental Factors: Excessive standing and/or walking, Exposure to extreme temperatures, Exposure to fumes and/or chemicals, Exposure to heights, Exposure to loud noises, Lifting (weight) - 70 lbs. Other Physical & Environmental Factors
-Exposure to electrical current.
-Work in cramped spaces, hot areas, wet areas
