Job Description:

The Enrollment and Academic Records Coordinator for curriculum management performs complex work in administering processes and providing services related to, catalog and curriculum management, enforcement of academic regulations, and graduation processing etc. The Enrollment and Academic Records Coordinator modifies, updates, and interprets student information in several databases, applies academic regulations to a variety of situations, performs complex calculations, and investigates and resolves reported errors in academic records. The Enrollment and Academic Records Coordinator’s primary focus is to facilitate the updating and editing of the academic catalog, represent the Registrar’s office regarding curricular issues, and ensure the integrity of the curriculum and catalog. This position exercises a significant amount of independent judgment and discretion in the performance of their job duties.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates publication of the University catalog and handbook, soliciting updates, reviewing information for accuracy, and identifying areas of concern.
  • Implements, reviews, and trains faculty and staff on curriculum management best practices.
  • Oversees curriculum management business processes within the student information system, including building and maintain academic requirements.
  • Assists with monthly enrollment reporting via the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) in compliance with federal reporting requirements.
  • Assists with graduation processing, including graduation applications, degree conferral, and diploma management and ordering.
  • Provides effective service to students, faculty, and staff by having a thorough understanding of applicable academic regulations, rules, laws, policies, and procedures related to registrar functions and applying that knowledge to the provision of information, problem solving, and information processing.
  • Maintains the integrity of academic records by understanding the information contained in various databases, changing, correcting, or modifying that information accurately and in compliance with academic regulations, correctly interpreting that information and explaining it to students, staff, and faculty, as needed, and reviewing reports to identify errors.
  • Represents the Registrar’s Office at various assigned University committees.
  • Remains competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development courses, and attending training and/or courses as required by the supervisor.
  • Represents department and the University favorably and in accordance with established Core Values and expectations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the organization and department
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least four years of responsible office experience is required.
  • Experience requiring the administration of complex processes and the independent decision-making is preferred.
  • Applicants with higher education experience preferred.
  • Ability to handle calls and face-to-face inquiries in a friendly and professional manner is required.
  • Desktop publishing skills are required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to regularly interface with, train, and review the work of others is required.
