The basic purpose of this position is to increase the digital footprint of GSEP staff and faculty using data and reporting analytics to make informed pedagogical and business decisions. Duties

  • Work closely with the Dean and Systems Analyst at GSEP in scoping, analyzing, and implementing IT projects and initiatives. Supervises the Systems Analyst and conducts business intelligence implementation and BI reports for executive management. 
  • Work with GSEP staff on increasing and improving digital and virtual literacies that enable and enhance business processes. Work closely with GSEP faculty on analyzing data and statistics in Sakai (Learning Management System) and third-party tools such as LiveText and Acrobatiq to enhance student learning and engagement for on-ground and online classes.
  • Responsible for acting as GSEP's CRM Administrator for the University-wide implementation of Salesforce CRM platform and collaborating with Pepperdine's CRM Administration team and vendors to ensure timely and appropriate implementation of CRM functionality as required for GSEP. Responsible for acting as an administrator of CSO software which powers GSEP's Career Hub (PeoPro 2.0) and collaborating with GSEP Career Services and CSO support team to ensure timely and appropriate resolution of any current or future issues. Responsible for acting as principal administrator for Nolij, CollegeNet, eProtocol, SOL Server and PeopleSoft at GSEP and collaborating with counterparts at Central IT to resolve ao.y issues related to these critical applications. 
  • Analyze business processes utilizing technology and make recommendations for improving and enhancing GSEP staff productivity. Responsible for maintaining comprehensive knowledge of major application systems used in GSEP including their capabilities, configuration and technical architecture.
  • Work with Social Media/Content Specialist to produce digital assets that enhance and improve business knowledge base for internal staff as well as external constituents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Management Information Systems or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience with a minimum of four years of related technology experience. Excellent project management & business process analysis skills. Ability to apply general organizational knowledge of the business and systems processes in problem analysis. Basic knowledge of database concepts and SOL queries with experience in generating reports in PeopleSoft. Must have the ability to quickly gain a solid understanding of complex applications, databases, and systems such as MS SOL. My SOL, PL/SOL, FileMaker & Oracle. Salesforce.com CRM administration training including familiarity with Salesforce.com Integration components. Detail-oriented, organized, flexible, objective, and logical. Self-motivated with the ability of work independently and ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Ability to push creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing practices and client mindsets. Must excel in a consultative role in directly facilitating and leading business customer interactions and effectively communicating technical information to non-technical business stakeholders and end-users. Must have a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into the application and operational requirements. Have thorough knowledge of Sakai, GoAnimate, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Connect, Nolij, Kofax, learning technologies and associated pedagogies.
