DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
This position requires the formulation and implementation of strategic direction, budget development, administration, and staff development for the areas of:

Admissions/Recruitment, Marketing, Financial Aid, Placement Testing, Workforce Development/Career Services, Pathways (Non-Credit Enrollment), Advanced Studies (Concurrent Enrollment), and International Student Services. This position reports to the Provost and Executive Vice President.

General or direct supervision is exercised over support staff.  Does related work as required.

TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:

  • Provides leadership and supervision of enrollment management teams including hiring, training, coaching, and developmental learning opportunities;
  • Provides visionary leadership on strategic planning, data analysis, policies, and procedures for assigned enrollment management divisions;
  • Prepares annual budget for assigned enrollment management areas and submits the budget to the Provost and Executive Vice President for review;
  • Guides all enrollment management units in assessment exercises including but not limited to strategic planning, goal development, and outcomes assessment;
  • Leads the Enrollment Management directors on the development and implementation of a Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM);
  • Leads the colleges efforts to develop mutually beneficial relations relationships with peer institutions, business/industry, and community influencers that yield enrollment outcomes;
  • Guide the installation of a comprehensive and student-centered ERP (Workday) to streamline customer service and information processing workflows across student service areas;
  • Demonstrate a keen understanding of changing demographics, shrinking budgets and increased accountability for student outcomes;
  • Provide professional leadership in the analysis of national, state and county population trends;
  • Work with EM directors on the development of a communication plan that meets the needs of various constituencies including but not limited to current students, prospective students, and community members;
  • Leads the Enrollment Management Committee chaired by the Provost and Executive Vice President;
  • Make high-quality, data-driven, evidence-based decisions by developing and monitoring statistical reports to enhance recruitment strategies, yield management, forecasting and; operational efficiency;
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse populations and be involved as a leader in the community;
  • Able to collaborate directly with faculty, administration, and students on strategic enrollment management goals and initiative;
  • Comfortable presenting to the Board of Trustees and others;
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned;

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Possess a keen understanding of current trends impacting enrollment; demonstrated competency for analyzing enrollment related data and assessing programming activities as part of a strategic enrollment planning initiative; possess an understanding of the innovative uses of technologies in the enrollment process; experience working with diverse populations; possess strong skills in team development, community building, relationship building and problem solving; initiative and resourcefulness; physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations three (3) to five (5) years of sales and marketing skills in the education field; three (3) to five (5) years supervisory skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Doctorate in Education or Student Personnel Services or related field and five (5) years of experience in enrollment management, three (3) years of which must have been in a responsible educational administrative or supervisory capacity. Must possess superior interpersonal and public speaking skills and knowledge of marketing methods.
OR

  1. Graduation from an accredited college or university with MBA/Master's degree in applicable field and seven (7) years of experience in Student Services/Student Development/Student Affairs, three (3) years of which must have been in a responsible educational administrative or supervisory capacity. Must possess superior interpersonal and public speaking skills and knowledge of marketing methods.
