Masters degree in Nursing or masters degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in the field of instruction. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Preference will be given to individuals who possess :
* Possess MSN—either clinical area or education.

* Three (3) years clinical experience in medical/surgical adult health.

* Current clinical teaching experience in undergraduate nursing education/practical nursing education.

* Evidence of experience in developing, assessing & revising curriculum.

* Evidence of experience in a professional leadership role.

* Experience in a role that required management of multiple responsibilities with timelines.

* Current experience with learning assessment.

* Evidence of experience working with students to support academic success.

* Evidence of continued education in the profession.

Active undisciplined license to practice professional nursing in Missouri.

Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.

Brief Description of Duties:
Full-time faculty position. Primary function of this position is the coordinator of the Associate Degree Nursing program. This position does have a teaching assignment in addition to working with the program’s faculty and students.

* Assist with accreditations

* Preferred Area of Expertise:

* Nursing Management experience preferred

* Ongoing systematic development, implementation, and evaluation of the total program in relation to stated philosophy.

* Instruction and evaluation of students

* Provide input on program related policies regarding recruitment, admission, retention, promotion, and graduation of students.

* There will be a ten minute teaching presentation during the interview. Topic related to nursing education.

* Current, RN active licensure to practice professional nursing in Missouri; the candidates license to practice professional nursing has never been disciplined in any jurisdiction.

* Eligible to apply for RN licensure in the state of KS
