Position Purpose
Under the direction of the Senior Associate Dean for Medical Education ( SADME ), the Director of Accreditation is responsible for organizing and coordinating effective and efficient accreditation by the Liaison Committee for Medical Education ( LCME ) for the Geisel School of Medicine MD program. Working with multiple stakeholders ( SADME, Faculty Accreditation Lead ( FAL ), Associate Deans and Unit Directors), overseeing and coordinating the preparation of all LCME accreditation and school reports.

Bachelors plus 3-5 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- 3 years of project management experience or similar.
- Thorough knowledge of LCME processes and applicable LCME standards.
- Strong project management skills and ability to work independently, taking initiative to advance projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Comprehensive understanding of rigorous research design, implementation, and analysis.
- Ability to use sound judgment when interacting with internal and external constituencies.
- Proven ability to effectively collaborate and interact with all levels of staff, management, and executive leadership in a matrixed, academic setting.
- Ability to independently contribute to report, presentations, and technical paper writing.
- Strong commitment to a diverse working environment and to serving the needs of a large and diverse community.
- Master’s degree preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Key Accountabilities
Description
LCME Accreditation and Continuous Quality Improvement Accreditation
- Provides administrative oversight, support and direction for Geisel’s LCME re-accreditation process; helping educate key Geisel stakeholders in LCME standards,
- Provides UME and Geisel leadership with the interpretation and the identification of risks, gaps and opportunities where Geisel’s UME program activities align with LCME requirements.
- Provides oversight and manages the compilation and submission of the LCME Self-Study report. Works with UME /Geisel units to identify and develop applicable data, prepare information and complete self-study responses for each LCME standard.
- Provides support to Geisel UME students in the development and completion of the required LCME independent student analysis ( ISA ) survey.
- In conjunction with the SADME and LCME Faculty Accreditation Lead, identifies, organizes, facilitates and monitors tasks related to LCME re-accreditation.
- Participates in periodic LCME sponsored conference calls, regional meetings, etc., to maintain a current understanding of LCME standards and interpretation of applicable requirements.
- Serves as principal administrative contact for LCME consultants and the LCME Secretariat’s Office; ensures Geisel stakeholder responsiveness and follow up on LCME consultant/secretariat requests.
- Serves as Geisel project lead in identifying stakeholders, establishing the agenda and managing LCME and CQI -ME preparatory meetings, and gathering information.
- Provides oversight for any on-going required communications, reporting and corrective action plans emanating from the LCME re-accreditation process.

Communication and Engagement
- Works closely with SADME and FAL on LCME reaccreditation status updates and drafts and provides regular written updates for key Geisel stakeholders (Dean’s Office, UME Assoc. Deans and unit directors).
- Prepares communications about project findings tailoring the message for target audiences.
- Establishes and maintains collaborative interactions with internal and external stakeholders necessary to achieve shared goals, advance the research, and disseminate findings internally and externally.
- Organizes meetings (i.e., research meetings, advisory board meetings) and conducts follow-up communications to advance the work and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
