Position Purpose

In this post-doctoral research associate position, the research associate will conduct computational research that develops intelligent multi-energy operations management and planning systems at the city scale.

Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp

PhD or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• PhD in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, operations research, industrial engineering, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or related field.
• Strong foundations in physical modeling energy systems in the electrical, thermal, fluidic, and mechanical energy domains.
• Strong background in optimization and model-predictive control methods; both in their theoretical understanding and numerical implementation.
• Proficiency in Python and MATLAB required.
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Julia is encouraged.
