Department Summary
Within the College of Arts and Sciences, Psychology is one of the largest departments supporting significant instructional and research activities in a wide range of fields within the discipline. The Department enrolls about 1,900 students per term, with approximately 300 undergraduate Psychology majors and 80 doctoral students.

Position Summary
The Department of Psychology at the University of Oregon seeks qualified applicants for its Research open recruitment pool. Positions are limited duration appointments that are part time or short term, with contracts not to exceed one year. There is a possibility of renewal up to a total of three years, depending on programmatic need, funding, and performance. Successful candidates will share the Department of Psychology's commitment to an inclusive environment and to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds.

Research Assistant positions will conduct research under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI). In addition, to further research learning, the research assistant will receive an annual performance evaluation.

Research Associate positions will conduct research with only general guidance from the PI. In addition, to further research learning, the Research Associate will receive an annual performance evaluation.

Postdoctoral Research Scholars will conduct research under the direction of a faculty member to acquire research training. In addition, to further career development, the postdoctoral research scholar and PI will create and follow mentoring and individual development plans.

Salary is dependent upon education, experience, and available funding.

Minimum Requirements
Research Assistant - a Bachelor's degree in Psychology or other related field, along with appropriate research experience.

Research Associate - A PhD in-hand by the start of the position with relevant professional experience in a research lab.

Postdoctoral Research Scholar - A PhD in-hand by the start of the position along with relevant professional experience in a research lab.

Professional Competencies
Successful candidates for research positions will have a research background in Psychology or a closely related field and will have professional experience, demonstrated ability, or potential for quality research.
