Responsibilities:
The Training Manager, part of the Research Enterprise Services (NU-RES), Research Compliance Team coordinates and facilitates development of professional development training for NU-RES staff as well as department administrators and faculty. This position works collaboratively with research compliance, college leadership and NU-RES staff to promote the effective use of research project management tools and systems, as well as alignment between these systems, practices and institutional policy. The Training Manager will be responsible for building a comprehensive plan to design, develop, document and deliver training related to research administration and continuous improvement of department initiatives. In addition, the Training Manager will work with identified stakeholders to develop and deploy engaging online instructional content for a variety of research administration, finance and compliance topics.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master's degree in business, research administration, education, instructional design, finances or science preferred
  • 4-6 years' experience in grants administration, preferred
  • 1-2 years' training and development experience required, can be concurrent with grants administration experience
  • Experience with video design and development, preferred
  • Experience with large, complex integrated systems, preferred
  • Certified Research Administrator (CRA), preferred
