Director of Enrollment Management (Enrollment Services Manager 3)

Penn State Schuylkill is searching for a creative and innovative colleague to join our team as Director of Enrollment Management. With experience in either admissions and/or financial aid, the successful applicant will lead a team of dedicated professionals in admissions, financial aid, and the registrar's office to increase enrollment and help students finance their education. As a member of the Chancellor's executive team, the Director of Enrollment Management is a leader who collaborates with others across campus to increase the size, academic quality, and diversity of incoming classes, improve retention and student success, and position Penn State Schuylkill as a first-choice campus for applicants. Serving as member of the Chancellor's Executive Committee, the Director of Enrollment Management oversees all components of the Admissions, Financial Aid and Campus Registrar departments on campus. This role provides effective leadership to all personnel on the Enrollment Management team as well as provide innovative and strategic leadership in achieving overall enrollment goals for the campus. This position holds responsibility for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategic enrollment management plan that uses data supported strategies and cross-functional collaboration across a wide variety of offices.

Primary duties of this role include but are not limited to:
  • Coordinate and manage the work of the Enrollment Management departments (Admissions, Financial Aid, and Campus Registrar) in support of institutional enrollment goals
  • Hire, mentor and lead an interdepartmental team of professional enrollment staff
  • Collaborate with the Chancellor and other Executive Committee members in strategic planning across the campus and initiate priorities for enrollment at all levels
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic enrollment management plan featuring innovative initiatives to optimize recruitment and retention efforts across a wide variety of student populations
  • Oversee, coordinate, and manage enrollment, student aid and recruitment data reporting to support sound enrollment decision making and strategy planning
  • Oversee the leveraging of institutional financial aid awarding; provide guidance regarding financial aid policies, procedures and compliance including knowledge of federal and state financial aid program regulations
  • Oversee all aspects of undergraduate recruitment for the campus
  • Understand and identify emerging markets in order to attract a talented and diverse student body which includes traditional undergraduates, adult learners, dual enrollment students and transfer students
  • Develop and monitor department budgets ($98,000); plan strategically and analyze effectively with campus budgeting and financial officer
  • Oversee all aspects of the Campus Registrar, provide guidance and knowledge of FERPA and other federal and state privacy laws/mandates


This position typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher (Master's degree preferred) plus 6 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
