The Citadel Military College of South Carolina is seeking an Assistant Football Coach. The Citadel is a highly competitive Division I FCS program and is a member of the Southern Conference.

The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is accepting applicants for a Special Teams/Recruiting Coordinator for football. The Citadel is a highly competitive Division I FCS program and is a member of the Southern Conference.

This position will be expected to coach, support and mentor student-athletes and adhere to all NCAA, SoCon and institutional rules and policies. Coaching responsibilities will vary according to the direction of the Head Coach. Recruitment, fundraising, game preparation, practice training, and all other relevant skills associated with running a highly competitive football program are essential. Coaching duties and areas of responsibility will be assigned by the Head Coach.

Coach will be expected to adhere to the letter and intent of the military mission and regulations of this institution, contribute to the campus community in a positive manner and encourage student-athletes to succeed in balancing the academic, military and athletic aspects of their education. Coaches are expected to represent the institution and the program in accordance with institutional values of Honor, Duty and Respect.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree is required. Must be highly organized and have strong leadership and communication skills. The Citadel demands a thorough knowledge and adherence to institutional, Southern Conference and NCAA rules. Previous experience as a player and three years of college coaching experience, preferably at the Division I level.
