Student Affairs and Inclusive Excellence (SAIE) is the central
student affairs division of the University of Denver. SAIE includes
Housing and Residential Education, Student Engagement, Fraternity
and Sorority Life, Health and Counseling, Inclusion & Equity
Education, Disability Services Program, Cultural Center, Access
& Transitions, Learning Effectiveness Program, Veterans
Services, Student Outreach and Support, Student Rights &
Responsibilities, Budget, Operations and Division Resources, New
Student and Family Programs, Community and Driscoll Commons.

The Dean of Students (DOS) Office oversees and elevates student support, accessibility programs, diversity, equity, & inclusion initiatives, and behavioral accountability. This office supports and serves as a central point of contact for students and their families, faculty, and staff. Areas within the DOS include: Access & Transitions, Cultural Center, Disability Services Program, Inclusion & Equity Education, Learning Effectiveness Program, Student Outreach & Support, Student Rights & Responsibilities, and Veterans Services
Position Summary
Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs
and Inclusive Excellence & Dean of Students, (DOS) the
Associate Dean of Students (ADOS) is a senior leader in the
Division of Student Affairs and Inclusive Excellence. This position
is the individual to whom the DOS delegates authority for the Dean
of Students Office in her absence. The ADOS is a member of the DOS
leadership team and of the Student Affairs Leadership Team (SALT).
This position supervises the directors responsible for critical
University initiatives and functions: Access & Transitions, The
Cultural Center, and Inclusion & Equity Education.
In partnership with the Vice Chancellor (VC) of SAIE and the DOS,
the ADOS will establish a comprehensive strategic vision for
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) for SAIE. This position
partners closely with SAIE colleagues, the University's Division of
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, academic colleges, and campus
partners as the representative of student experiences on various
DEI University committees.
This is a new role for SAIE with opportunities to further evolve
based on strategic planning and alignment. Further developing
context for this role will be an opportunity for our new leader in
partnership with the VC and DOS of SAIE.
This is a full-time, 12-month position.

Salary Grade Number:
The salary grade for the position is 15.
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $107,000 - $125,000.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
