The successful candidate will teach four courses during the spring 2022 and the summer 2022 semesters.

Company Description

On the foundation of faith, wisdom and trust in Providence, Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) prepares graduates to transform their communities, families and professions.

OLLU, founded in 1895 by the Congregation of Divine Providence, is a coeducational comprehensive Hispanic Serving Institution in the heart of San Antonio, Texas with an enrollment of more than 3,100 students. With its main residential campus in San Antonio and non-traditional programs in San Antonio, Houston, the Rio Grande Valley (La Feria), and online, OLLU has a presence in two of the largest cities in Texas, the border region, and literally around the world.

Our OLLU community is called to transform individuals as they discover their purpose in life and to live in our daily lives the values of community, integrity, trust and service. We are dedicated to serving Hispanic communities as well as supporting Hispanic students and first-generation college students. OLLU attracts the largest percentage of Hispanic undergraduates of any private university in the nation per capita and is fourth among universities overall -- public or private (U.S News and World Report, 2020 Best Colleges). OLLU ranks No. 49 nationally for the social mobility of its graduates (U.S. News and World Report, 2020 Best Colleges). OLLU was elevated to the national category by U.S. News & World Report (U.S. News and World Report, 2020 Best Colleges). It moved up from Tier 1 of Regional Universities - West (U.S. News and World Report, 2019 Best Colleges) due to the growth of OLLU's doctoral programs.  OLLU is ranked second among San Antonio universities for alumni giving rate, and 76th nationally (U.S. News and World Report, 2020 Best Colleges).

The University offers more than 30 undergraduate majors and minors, 14 master's programs and three doctoral programs through its College of Arts and Sciences, School of Business and Leadership, and the College of Professional Studies.

OLLU offers classes in daytime, evening, weekend and online formats.

The counseling program enjoys strong administrative support towards meeting the needs of our students as they develop their professional identities as counselors who are prepared to work with clients from diverse backgrounds. Our counseling program is ranked No. 19 on College Choice of Best Online Master's in Educational Counseling, No. 6 Best Online Colleges in Texas for 2017–2018 by AffordableCollegesOnline.org, No. 86 in Regional Universities West by U.S. News & World Report's 2018 Best Colleges Rankings and No. 4 in Texas among Private Regional Universities for the least amount of debt for graduates by U.S. News & World Report's 2018 Best Colleges Rankings.

The counselling program is currently experiencing rapid growth in all three specializations (CMH, SC, and CRC), but especially within the CMH specialization. We are very excited about adding another professional to our supportive and cohesive team. We are looking for a colleague who wants to contribute to our continued growth and momentum towards seeking initial CACREP accreditation. In addition to LPC licensure, special consideration will be given to applicants who are also certified as Clinical Rehabilitation Counselors or Texas School Counselors. Because of our goal of serving and supporting Hispanic and 1st generation students and communities, bilingual (Spanish-English) candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
