GENERAL SUMMARY:

Beginning Fall 2022 a nine-month, full-time tenure track position responsible for teaching Psychology.  The position includes advising students and serving on university committees. Teaching a full ad will be 4/4, exact class assignments will depend on the needs of the division.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    

25%-Teach a range of courses, Developmental, Experimental, Social Psychology and Family Relationships

30%-Class preparation including integration of iPad, syllabus construction, and grading

20%-student meetings, as needed, outside of class. Advising students regarding degree plans, academic standards, etc.

15%-Attend departmental and institutional meetings including committee responsibilities

10%-Actively participate in divisional requirements including college visits with prospective students, registration days for new students, course and program assessment, and program reviews.

 

MANAGERIAL/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

N/A

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

This position requires a Ph.D ( A.B.D will be considered) in Psychology

Previous teaching experience preferred.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate should be able to work a standard 40 hour week on campus.  Must be able to speak clearly and with enough volume for a full classroom 

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Experience using an iPad, Microsoft Office Suite, and OneDrive would be helpful

 

OTHER INFORMATION AND ATTRIBUTES:

May require additional early morning or late afternoon meeting times as well as attendance at weekend college functions such as Family Day, Homecoming, Commencement, etc.
