Under the newly minted division of University Marketing & Communications, the Office of Marketing Communications creates proactive, innovative, and comprehensive marketing, communications and branding strategies that highlight Drexel’s academic strengths and research, while emphasizing the value and potential of the experiential education model. The Office of Marketing Communications works closely with colleges, schools, academic and administrative staff throughout the University to create comprehensive marketing and communications strategies that serve the University’s overarching branding, recruitment and retention goals to meet or exceed the enrollment and revenue objectives. Job Summary

The Coordinator, under the direction of one of the Associate Director of University Relations, will serve University Marketing & Communications on the University Relations team supporting the front-facing customer service experience for Drexel’s Office of Admissions. In addition, the Coordinator will support the delivery of effective on-campus, off-campus, and online visits and events for all student populations and key enrollment partners aligned with the strategic goals of the university. This position directly oversees Admissions Visit Center frontline customer service, space management including conference room requests, and front desk coverage, while also supporting the team in planning and executing event programming. Based on the customer-service and administrative responsibilities of this role, this position will be fully in-person.

Essential Functions
  • Provide optimal customer service to external guests and members of the Drexel community.
  • Oversee front desk coverage and visit center materials.
  • Manage Visit Center conference room requests.
  • Support weekend programming for prospective and admitted students.
  • Communicate the Drexel brand and educate prospective students about the academic offerings and admissions process at the University.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent .
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to collaborate with staff, faculty, students, academic leadership, administrative units and external vendors/partners to ensure successful event and visit implementation.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work evening and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Computer proficient; experience using Microsoft Office, knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience with audio/visual capabilities for meetings and conferences.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
