The National Teachers Hall of Fame (NTHF) seeks a dynamic, growth-oriented individual with proven leadership skills to oversee the Hall of Fame physical space and inspire others to recognize and honor career teachers; encourage excellence in teaching; and preserve the heritage of the teaching profession. The NTHF, now celebrating its 30th year with 135 inductees from across the country, is located in the heartland of America at Emporia State University’s Teacher’s College, Emporia, KS. Position Qualifications:
Strong, effective interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to enact and manage a forward-thinking strategic plan.
Financial acumen, including effective budget development, management and stewardship of limited resources.
Fund-raising experience that encompasses traditional methods and digital platforms.
Ability to build and sustain effective partnerships with key entities, including but not limited to national organizations, current and potential funders, and other supporters of The NTHF to advance its priorities and garner an extensive national presence.
Ability to advocate effectively on behalf of The NTHF.
Ability to build and work effectively with a diverse board.
Experience in working with the not-for-profit sector.
Demonstrated understanding of the American education system and its challenges and needs.
Demonstrated program development skills and experience.


Education:
Master’s or advanced degree or equivalent experience.
