Job Summary
Provides technical and service-related support on a range of technologies in one or more of the following information technology areas: system administration, network support, operating system support, systems design and/or implementation or user/client services.
The work of the Information Technology Specialist will vary depending on the needs of the organization and the competencies of the individual and will range from providing assistance and/or providing Tier I support to leading projects and/or providing high-level technical expertise on highly complex matters. The work of an IT Specialist will also range from generalist work to in-depth support for a more narrowly defined field. See leveling guidelines for further information and minimum qualifications.
Essential Functions
This position will be responsible for managing resources in a Windows cloud and on-premises environment in support of an on-campus network of over 2000 Windows and Apple workstations.
Cloud services will also provide virtual servers and a virtual lab environment for support of classes and research.
Candidates will need a strong working knowledge of Windows environments including Azure Active Directory, Intune/Endpoint Manager, Azure Virtual Machines and Azure Virtual Desktop.
Responsible for managing resources in an on-campus virtual environment (e.g. Hyper-V, VMware), including but not limited to hardware support of servers, storage and networking.
Vulnerability management and third party application support are also required.

Requirements for Additional Job Levels
Level IV – High school diploma or equivalent plus 5 years of relevant endpoint support experience. Grade 34 $45,100 – $75,100.
Level V – Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of relevant endpoint support experience. Grade 35 $51,900 – $86,400.
Level VI – Bachelor’s degree plus 7 years of relevant endpoint support experience. Grade 36 $59,700 – $99,600.
