passionate Conference and Events Manager to join our rapidly

We are seeking a qualified, professional Conference and Events
Manager who desires to use their unique skills to innovate and make
an impact. This individual is the primary person responsible for
the event planning of Parker University events and conferences,
which include Parker Seminars, Parker Power Weekend, and other
events and expos the University chooses to host. This
position manages the entire project lifecycle of each event and
ensures timelines, budgets, and quality controls are met.
This position works very closely with the Vice President and
Chief Operating Officer as well as senior leadership from the
University in relation to events and conferences.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Serve as event planner for variety of University events to
include, but not limited to Parkers Seminars, Parker Power Weekend,
Fitness Expo, and third-party events.
Manages the daily activities of the University Event Management
System and ensures all special events and conferences are
successful.
Coordinates with other departments to handle all event planning
needs to include food and beverage, audio visual, room
reservations, etc.
Working with VP/COO, coordinate all venue and vendor
solicitation, negotiations, contracting and management for Parker
Seminars.
Manage all event logistics in advance, on-site, and
post-conference to include site selection, room sets, audio visual,
food & beverage, décor, signage, etc.
Manage and coordinate all vendors and staff through
comprehensive event resume to include logistical facets for hotel,
convention center, and applicable vendors.
Work with Corporate Partnerships team to manage fulfillment of
sponsor benefits.
Work with Marketing & Communications on event promotion
schedules and deliverables.
Work with Professional Programs to ensure all lead times are
met for speaker selection, contracting, and payment.
Evaluate and maintain event budgets against pre-set spending
limits. Provide management with accurate budget estimates pre-event
and ensure post-event billing reflects these estimates
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree required
Three (3) to five (5) years’ of progressively responsible
conference and event management experience
Experience managing multiple events and conferences a
plus.
Diverse portfolio of experience including but not limited to
annual conferences, exhibition management, meetings, workshops, and
special events.
CMP preferred
