POSITION TITLE: Dean, Loyola Marymount University School of Film and Television (LMUSFTV)

REPORTS TO: Executive Vice President and Provost, Loyola Marymount University

The Loyola Marymount University School of Film and Television seeks a forward looking, collaborative Dean to lead the school in its preparation of the next generation of storytellers, business leaders and scholars.  The Dean serves as the chief executive officer of the School of Film and Television (SFTV), reports to the Provost of LMU and works closely with the Provost, members of the Provost’s leadership team, and leads SFTV’s staff and department heads. The Dean provides executive oversight of all aspects of the school, including fundraising, academic program development, enrollment management, faculty and staff development, external relations and partnerships, operational effectiveness, financial planning, and capital improvements.

LMU’s School of Film and Television (SFTV) in Los Angeles is among the top 10 film schools in the country. SFTV develops storytellers and industry leaders through coursework, projects, and an emphasis on close mentorship and collaboration. To date more than 400 partner companies have hired SFTV students as interns, and more than 70 percent of the undergraduate students have participated in an industry internship during their time at LMU.
