Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, tenure track Assistant Professor of Intelligent Robotic Systems faculty position in the Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology that begins in August 2022.  Department will be determined at the time of hire based on qualifications.

 

The primary responsibilities for the position include research, teaching and service work.  The ideal candidate will bring an established record of, or promise of, a vigorous, interdisciplinary, and sustainable externally funded research program.

Courses are taught on the Marietta campus of Kennesaw State University and are offered during daytime and evening hours. Faculty are expected to teach in a variety of instructional modalities, including face-to-face, hybrid, flipped classroom and online.

Required Qualifications Include

  • An earned Ph.D., or the foreign equivalent, in engineering or related field, is required.
  • Research related to intelligent robotic systems, including collaborative robotics, complex mechatronics mechanisms and design, medical robotics, or in emerging areas that would complement existing strengths within the college.

 

Preferred Qualifications Include

  • Experience in securing or showing promise for national-level external funding.
  • Industry experience and/or Professional Engineering licensure.
  • Experience teaching in various instructional modalities.
  • Expertise in machine learning and AI is desirable.
