The Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh seeks applications for a full-time (15 credits a year) two-year visiting professor (Assistant/Associate/Professor) in Marketing and Business Economics starting Fall 2022 (contingent on budgetary approval and upon authorization to work in the U.S.).  The University of Pittsburgh is located within the eastern part of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Pittsburgh annually appears in national lists of America’s most-livable cities due to its reasonable cost-of-living, a strong network of health, education and corporate employers, its vibrant arts and culture offerings and a long history of support for local sports teams.  The city is well-positioned for rich experience-based learning projects and internships for business students.

The position requires a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarly research.  Candidates should have completed their Ph.D. degree, or have strong prospects for completion prior to the July 1, 2022 start date, and will be expected to maintain Scholarly Academic (SA) status in accordance with AACSB guidelines.  The candidate must be able to teach Managerial Economics (Intermediate micro-economics) at the undergraduate and master’s level.  Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching business students and who are also able to teach in another area, preferably Marketing or Business Analytics. Successful candidates must demonstrate their potential to be outstanding teachers.

To apply, send a letter of interest, vitae/resume, a teaching statement and evidence of your teaching effectiveness (such as a digital teaching portfolio), and three letters of reference.  Applications should be submitted online to the following address: https://cfopitt.taleo.net/careersection/pitt_faculty_external/jobdetail.ftl?job=21008564&tz=GMT-05%3A00&tzname=America%2FNew_York. Please direct any questions related to the search to mbefacultysearch@katz.pitt.edu. We will be interviewing candidates during and after the ASSA meetings (January 7 to 9). The application deadline is January 31, 2022; however, applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

The University of Pittsburgh is an Affirmative Action, Equal Opportunity Employer and values equality of opportunity, human dignity, and diversity. Women and members of minority groups under-represented in academia are especially encouraged to apply. EEO/AA/M/F/Vets/Disabled.
