Position Summary

Campus Living invites applications for the Assistant Director of Housing Services position. In this role, you will assist with the management of the University’s on-campus room assignment processes. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Application collection, room selection/assignments, contract collection, billing, assignments changes, transitional and break housing, summer housing and applications for early release.
  • Ensure effective use of technology, theory application and competitive position in the Buffalo area student housing market.
  • Use appropriate communication tools when working with and engaging current students, incoming students, families and other University constituents.
  • Gather data and provide reports and summaries.
  • Study current housing configurations to determine “best fit”.
  • Provide leadership in outreach programs from housing tour and open houses.
  • Assist the Associate Director with training and supervision of clerical and/or student staff.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience or master’s degree or professional certification.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Student Personnel Services or Higher Education Administration is preferred. Focused work experienced in the area of room assignment processes at a medium to large sized college or university.
