About Northeastern:
Founded in 1898, Northeastern is a global research university and the recognized leader in experience-driven lifelong learning. Our world-renowned experiential approach empowers our students, faculty, alumni, and partners to create impact far beyond the confines of discipline, degree, and campus.

Our locations—in Boston; Charlotte, North Carolina; London; Portland, Maine; San Francisco; Seattle; Silicon Valley; Toronto; Vancouver; and the Massachusetts communities of Burlington and Nahant—are nodes in our growing global university system. Through this network, we expand opportunities for flexible, student-centered learning and collaborative, solutions-focused research.

Northeastern's comprehensive array of undergraduate and graduate programs— in a variety of on-campus and online formats—lead to degrees through the doctorate in nine colleges and schools. Among these, we offer more than 195 multi-discipline majors and degrees designed to prepare students for purposeful lives and careers.

About the Opportunity:
The Northeastern community has a tradition of giving back, and each day, we witness the impact of our community's remarkable generosity. Our students are pursuing co-ops in all corners of the globe, growing their cultural fluency and preparing to thrive in the world. Our faculty are delivering leading-edge scholarship, teaching and mentoring tomorrow's leaders. And our researchers are pioneering new lines of inquiry, accelerating discovery in emerging fields. Northeastern University Advancement plays an integral role in engaging the Northeastern community to create a strong, more sustainable, and bright future.

Responsibilities:
The Program Coordinator, International Engagement is a member of the Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) team and serves an important role in supporting the International Engagement team.

Under the direction of the Senior Associate Director for International Engagement, the Program Coordinator will:

1) Plan, produce and execute successful in-person and online programs, events, and activities from concept to post-mortem that focus on maintaining and growing connections and relationships with alumni and the university;
2) Connect constituents and engage them in different international engagement programs and opportunities by recruiting alumni and cultivating volunteers;
3) Provide administrative support for the International Engagement team in their planning and management of international programming, including but not limited to project management, database administration, event communications, research, registration management, budget recording, post-event tasks and reporting;
4) Manage event registrations including creating, updating, and maintaining registration forms, entry of data into appropriate systems (Salesforce, Cvent), and management of outputs needed from appropriate systems (e.g. attendance lists, reports, name badges);
5) Administer post-event follow up including recording attendance and updating new contact information in Salesforce and creating and compiling event wrap-ups for analysis;
6) Act as a customer service-focused resource for the members of the global university community, including internal colleagues, international alumni, parents, students, friends, vendors, and other external and internal entities.

Additionally, the Program Coordinator will perform other duties and special projects as assigned. This position is required to perform their duties in person, on the Boston campus.

The Program Coordinator is a fully contributing member of the International Engagement team. The Program Coordinator must be able to represent the university, the Advancement Division and the Alumni Relations team in a professional, enthusiastic manner with a customer service and team focus. As a member of the Advancement Division, it is essential for the Program Coordinator to understand and support the role philanthropy plays in engaging the Northeastern community.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred. Two to three (2-3) years of experience working in an office environment with a background in customer service. Event planning experience and working in higher education with international students and alumni is a plus. This role requires excellent coordination, organization, and written and oral communication skills, including a strong phone presence.
