South Puget Sound Community College seeks candidates for the
2022-2023 academic year to fill a full-time, tenure track position
to teach face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses in the Computer
Information Systems (CIS) and Computer Science (CS) programs. This
position will begin effective September 12, 2022, and has a base
salary of $59,000 plus a $6,400 High Demand Stipend for a total
salary of $65,400. The contract year
is 177 days.

The instructor should be able to teach and guide persons interested
in working for a government office or in the private sector,
including healthcare. The program provides students a solid
foundation in both procedural and declarative programming (i.e.,
software development); the skills and knowledge needed to translate
organizations’ data into meaningful, high-quality information and
systems (i.e., database management and visualization); and for
working on business support activities. In addition to technical
skills, students are taught critical thinking and collaboration to
understand the roles of programmers, developers, and business
analysts. The program prepares students to quickly move into the
workplace as an effective employee. This recruitment is open to all
