Position Purpose
As part of a team, provide program coordination for the Center’s community-based learning programming focused on educational access and mentoring. This includes but is not limited to: SEAD (Strengthening Educational Access with Dartmouth) working with high school students from under-resourced schools; educational immersion experiences, both domestic and international; opportunities for social impact tied to Dartmouth’s curriculum; Youth Education and Mentoring ( YEM ) programs; and volunteerism opportunities with social sector partners throughout the Upper Valley.
The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Associate Director and the Program Manager to deliver programming, playing critical support roles as well as managing projects independently. This position plays a vital role in partnering with the nonprofit community to carry out programs that are designed to improve outcomes for Upper Valley communities while also supporting undergraduates to cultivate their skills, scholarship and passion for the common good.

Bachelors plus 1-2 year(s) of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
● Bachelor’s degree plus 1-2 year(s) of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
● One to two years of work experience within the social sector or education (experience as a student will be considered).
● Interest in and commitment to service, social impact and the common good.
● Relevant experience working with high achieving college-age students.
● Excellent organizational skills and the ability to plan and prioritize work.
● Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to tailor communication to various stakeholders.
● Proficient with computer applications (Word, Excel, Internet, Database Management, etc.).
● Experience with event and project coordination.
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience with youth development, mentoring and/or education programming in the nonprofit or social sector. Familiarity with best practices in educational access work and community-driven experiential learning is a strong advantage.
● Knowledge of, and commitment to, the social sector and nonprofits.
● Training, teaching or facilitation skills.
● Strong self-awareness, interpersonal and collaborative abilities; demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

● Provides programmatic coordination, and logistical support for a portfolio of educational access and mentoring programs including program planning and logistics, event management, risk management, assessment, student recruitment, student training and reflection. (40%)

● Advises, guides, and connects students interested in addressing social sector issues and social justice to appropriate opportunities, both on-campus and in the community. Coordinates relationships with local community agencies to provide referral access to volunteer opportunities for students. (25%)

● Manages and oversees DCSI vehicle fleet and driver training processes including setting and implementing vehicle policies, managing compliance with college approved driver process, executing vehicle scheduling, collaborating with college vehicle rental vendors, and scheduling and tracking vehicle maintenance.
