Title of Other Positions Reporting To This Position: None

Purpose of Position: This position is responsible for supporting relationships with alumni and promoting their continued involvement and engagement with the College.

Tasks/Duties Performed: The responsibilities of the position will include, but may not be limited to:

  • Charged with the creation, development and implementation of programs that enhance the College's relations with its graduates, leading to increased engagement and fundraising contributions.
  • Identify, recruit, provide guidance and support to the Alumni Board of Directors.
  • Recruit, train, motivate and guide volunteers for alumni programs including: chapter activities; admissions; career services; and special events.
  • Research and oversee alumni benefit programs such as credit card and insurance offerings, alumni directory and travel.
  • Support creation of the college magazine Daemen Today
  • Coordinate efforts for alumni programs including Homecoming, Distinguished Alumni and other alumni awards, Class Reunions and other constituent reunions.
  • Develop and oversee alumni speakers series and alumni-in-residence programs.
  • Oversee student/alumni programs.
  • Oversee the alumni website.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Dynamic, creative individual with proven management and strategic planning experience; exceptional motivational, organizational, leadership, communication and interpersonal skills; team-oriented; three to five years institutional advancement or comparable experience and expertise required; evening and weekend work as well as travel required; development in a college environment is desirable; Bachelor's degree required.

BENEFITS/STATUS: This is a full-time, salary, exempt, 12 month. Position is administration/salary and includes full College benefits and professional development opportunities. Driving, travel, weekend and evening hours may be required.

Benefits are available the first of the month following the full-time employee's date of hire and include health, dental, vision insurance, and fully paid life insurance. In addition, we offer fully paid long term disability insurance after 3 months of employment. Eligibility for the 403b retirement plan is available to full-time employees upon hire and an 8% employer match after one year of service. Tuition waiver benefits are also available for full-time employees and their qualified dependents.

Standard Background Check Required.

General Physical Requirements:

Light Work: Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects; desk job with majority of sedentary work sitting roughly 50% or greater of the workday.

Working Conditions:

Climate controlled office setting, but some activities/ duties can occur both inside and outside the office setting.

Post-Hire Trainings:

Various trainings assigned upon hire and annually thereafter by the Office of Employee Engagement.
