The Department of Business Management at Springfield College invites applicants for a two-year term appointment of Assistant Professor of Healthcare Management. The department offers undergraduate degrees in Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, and Healthcare Management, an on-ground MBA, an online BS and MBA, and collaborates with programs across the College such as Sports Management and Human Services/Organizational Leadership. The Department is poised for new growth and strategic development, including the active pursuit of AACSB accreditation. For this reason, we seek a dynamic, energetic, and innovative teacher and scholar who will provide excellence in teaching and advising (in-person and online), and maintain a high level of professional activity through quality research, community engagement and service. Applicants should be willing to contribute as leaders within Springfield College’s mission of educating students in spirit, mind, and body for leadership in service to humanity.

Responsibilities include teaching a variety of undergraduate and graduate level courses in the domain of healthcare management. Preference will be given to candidates who have exhibited high quality, innovative teaching in healthcare management and demonstrate the potential to grow the program. Applicants should provide evidence of the ability to maintain an active research agenda leading to scholarly publications commensurate with AACSB standards. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the business field and in higher education, and be adept in racially just and culturally responsive pedagogies and inclusive classroom and curriculum design.

Salary and benefits are competitive and appropriate for experience and qualifications.

Applicants must have a PhD in Healthcare Management or related discipline from an AACSB accredited program.
