Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) is currently the fourth
largest of North Carolina Community College System's 58
institutions. On our six campuses and through our online offerings,
we annually serve approximately 27,500 students, 60% of whom are

new Senior Library Technical Services Technician. Under
the direct supervision and direction of the Technical Services
Librarian and the Library Director, the Senior Library Technical
Services Technician serves a variety of functions within the
Technical Services Department. In addition to cataloging in OCLC's
WorldShare Management Services, the technician assists in
performing all acquisition-related functions, including ordering,
receiving, processing, and claiming materials. Materials
include print, media, and electronic forms of information that
support the research mission of the college, faculty, and staff.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, as
well as a willingness to work cooperatively.
Education Required:
Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited postsecondary institution.
Education Preferred:
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited postsecondary institution.
Experience Required:
One-year experience cataloging.
