UNIVERSITY OF NORTH DAKOTA, College of Education and Human Development

The Department of Education Health and Behavior Studies, invites applications for a 9-month Clinical Assistant Professor, with additional summer opportunities, to teach courses in the Master of Arts in Counseling Online Program. In addition to teaching, the candidate hired for this position will advise students and participate in service for the program. The contract start date is August 16, 2022 contingent on available funding. Summer teaching and service opportunities may also be available with an additional contract.  

Minimum Requirements

  • Earned Ph.D. in Counseling or Clinical Psychology or a closely related field.
  • Be a licensed psychologist in North Dakota, or be license-eligible and willing to actively pursue licensure in a time-sensitive fashion.
  • Successful completion of criminal history records check.

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identify and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preference for those with experience in teaching and advising graduate students in an online asynchronous setting;
  • Experience advising or supervising graduate students;
  • Experience with programmatic service and/or leadership in an academic setting.
