Company Description:

The American University in Cairo (AUC) has a rich legacy that dates back 100 years. Founded in 1919 as an English-language university based on high standards of conduct and scholarship, AUC remains a vibrant institution that contributes to the intellectual growth, discipline, and character of the future leaders of Egypt and the region. AUC emphasizes a liberal arts education, with all undergraduate students studying a common set of courses in the humanities and the natural and social sciences as part of the University's Core Curriculum. Ranked as one of the top 30 best universities in the Arab region by U.S. News and World Report, AUC is proud to have programs in the arts and humanities; business, management, and accounting; and social sciences that rank in the top ten in the region. Located in one of the most interesting and important cities in the world - at the nexus of Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Europe, and the center of events of the Arab world - AUC's academic programs draw on the city of Cairo as an extension of the classroom, integrating it into the curriculum and allowing students to be actively engaged in the society and world around them. As a chartered and accredited university in the United States and Egypt, AUC creates opportunities for diverse students, serves as the fountainhead of arts and culture, and further advances a global exchange that brings the world to Egypt and Egypt to the world.
