We are seeking aSenior Administrative Coordinator who provides a high level of administrative support for the Office of Student Conduct and the Student Affairs Administrator overseeing the Resolution Panel Process for cases that fall under the Sexual Misconduct and Title IX Policies. This role includes a considerable degree of independent action and frequent interaction with internal and external constituencies. This position requires consummate skills in diplomacy, discretion and confidentiality.

The Senior Administrative Coordinator must be able to work in a demanding, fast-paced, and collaborative work environment. This position requires the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be proactive. The Senior Administrative Coordinator will deal regularly with sensitive and confidential information and must exercise the utmost professionalism and discretion at all times.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide scheduling and administrative support to the Office of Student Conduct staff and Student Affairs Administrator.
  • Respond to requests for conduct history reviews, background checks, and Dean’s certifications for transfer and graduate admission applications.
  • Process informal resolutions between faculty and students for academic misconduct cases.
  • Respond to student and faculty inquiries regarding academic misconduct matters and informs them of the process.
  • Manage confidential files and process academic and non-academic student conduct cases in the case management database.
  • Prepare correspondence for students, staff and faculty for Administrative Hearings, Conduct Board Hearings, Ethics Board Hearings, and Resolution Panel Hearings.
  • Contribute with data tracking to the assessment of the conduct processes, and report data as requested.
  • Monitor, triage and direct emails and calls that come into the Student Conduct email account.
  • Create and manage website content, coordinating with the Student Affairs communications team and Student Conduct staff.
  • Contribute with planning, organizing and managing trainings and events. Be proactive in identifying and resolving scheduling conflicts.
  • Maintain general file management system for the office including both paper and electronic files.
  • Coordinate travel and itineraries. Prepare travel and accommodation arrangements.
  • Maintain various departmental listservs; managing and updating memberships as needed on a monthly basis.
  • Communicate effectively and maintain positive, courteous, supportive, and professional working relationships with all levels of contacts.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all aspects of SAP (budget and finance software) and reconcile the Student Conduct budget. Receive training as necessary to keep abreast of changes and updating of software, including SAP and other software as necessary.
  • Process transactions within the SAP system relative to expenses and accounts payable.
  • Provide the Director with a monthly accounting for the budgets as well as use of the purchasing card.

Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):

  • High School Diploma/GED and five years related experience required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and five + years’ experience preferred.
  • Experience in higher education or an executive level office is preferred.
  • Additional education may substitute for experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.*

* JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.

Starting Salary Range: $20.02 - $27.51/hr (commensurate with experience)

Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.
