Supervisor:

Classification:

Academic Dean, Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions

Full-time ranked faculty, 12-month appointment

Regis University seeks an experienced, collaborative Associate Dean to provide leadership for the Division of Counseling and Family Therapy (DCFT). Consistent with a commitment to the health of the whole person, DCFT is housed in the Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions and operates from the Regis-Thornton campus. Students have the option to pursue a CACREP accredited master’s degree in Counseling, a COAMFTE accredited master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and three post-graduate certificates. Led by renowned faculty, the degrees and certificates prepare students for a profession in counseling or marriage and family therapy with an emphasis on social justice, consistent with Regis’ Jesuit mission.

In addition to didactic instruction, students engage in experiential learning throughout their course of study, including practica in the state-of-the-art Regis Center for Counseling and Family Therapy, providing therapeutic services to community members under the live supervision of licensed faculty. The Center is also the focus of on-going research activity conducted by faculty. The Center has a full-time Director and staff, and it is partially funded by a permanent endowment from a generous Regis donor who is a strong supporter of the Division.

Regis is committed to a just and inclusive University environment. The Division invites applications from individuals who are underrepresented in the fields of Counseling and Family Therapy. We welcome candidates who bring diverse cultural, ethnic, gender-identity, ability-status, and religious perspectives to their work practice and who are committed to creating a work environment that is respectful, equitable, and inclusive.

The Associate Dean occupies the primary leadership role in the Division and reports to the Academic Dean in the College for Health Professions. DCFT emphasizes excellent teaching, values-based social justice education, service learning, scholarship, and cutting-edge training in integrated healthcare.
