Position Summary:
The Eastern Kentucky University's Department of Social Work is seeking applications for an open rank tenure-track faculty member to serve as the Director of Field Education in the Master of Social Work (MSW) program. This is a 11-month, full-time position with start date negotiable. The MSW program is an online degree program at Eastern Kentucky University that started Fall 2020. The application for Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) candidacy is in process with full accreditation anticipated June 2023. We seek a candidate who is interested in developing an innovative, student-centered field education program that values interprofessional collaboration associated with addictions intervention, mental health, child and family services, social advocacy and justice, and leadership and management. The MSW Field Director is further expected to demonstrate expertise in the integration of social work practice, theory, and research skills to provide students a model for our concentration in integrative advanced generalist practice. The candidate selected will teach and engage in ongoing social work scholarship and service to the profession and community consistent with University expectations for tenure-track faculty. This includes an 40% (2×2×2) teaching responsibility. We have a course facilitator model which enables smaller class sizes and team collaboration. Remote candidates are encouraged to apply but must comply with the same service standards as part of tenure requirements and limited outside-employment stipulations as on-campus faculty.

Minimum Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:· MSW degree from a CSWE accredited program· 2 years post-MSW practice experience· Field program instruction/curriculum development experience· Experience with online instruction and/or with assessment technologies· Research agenda with potential for conducting and publishing research· Excellent networking and professional communication skills

Desired Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:· Doctoral degree in social work· 5+ years post-MSW practice experience· Social Work licensure (CSW, LSW or LCSW)· Evidence of successful teaching experience in a MSW program· Expertise in online instruction and/or with assessment technologies· Experience directing a graduate field education program
· Evidence of scholarly productivity
